Rite of Passage.

The last time I had a birthday celebration like that was in Primary school, and there probably won't be a next time, cuz most pple wun celebrate their bdays like that after their 21st. hurhur... To me, planning a party like that requires a lot of effort, and worrying prior to that as well, but I still went on with the idea cuz I wanted it to be a day when I could share the birthday joy with my friends, a rite of passage with my close friends. Cuz, a birthday is really a normal day without any celebration.

My worries were lessened when I had Tze Hwee to help me to shop for decor materials from Party City, Jizheng, Jingsong, Mingjuan and Nini to help out with the programmes, Xinyu with photography and of course the rest of 29th who were there to help set up the area, and tear down the decor. I was busy chatting with some friends, and all of a sudden I turned around, all the decor were down and the place suddenly looks super clean. I must say that 29th is the bunch of pple whom I can proudly say are capable, efficient, fast, smart and action-first-talk-later. ;) Special thanks to Tze and Xinyu for great chat in the early hours of my birthday!

I think 29th looks the most jungly, with all the army accessories.

PAINball

June passed very fast. So hectic that I don't have time for myself. And I really miss having time for myself. I can't expect others to understand that, so I guess I have to make myself turn down outings for my own sake.
---
Internship was fun! Got to travel to various parts of Singapore. Got to understand the career prospects in a Big 4 vs, say a bank. And becuz I'm not attached to Audit, I get to see the bigger pic, the more optimistic/ successful stories, versus what other seniors had advised. They joked about bonding me to the dept, and tho I "rejected" them, I know that one day I might go back to that same room. The seniors are really sweet, they got me a really expensive gift for my 21st bday gift in advance, and kept apologising for not being able to make it for my celebration. Really came as a pleasant surprise for me...
---
Had 6 driving lessons so far which I never failed to risk my instructor's and my lives.

Had Crew Retreat from 30 Jun - 1 Jul. Having been to Malaysia so many times for outdoor activities, many are surprised that this would be my first time to KL! On 29 Jun I rushed home from DT's Offpeak Party @ Zouk to bathe and rushed to Johore. Not surprisingly, there was a heavy jam at the Causeway on the Fri night, so we were all late by half an hour for our bus, and we nearly had to charter another bus to get to KL!

The next afternoon was spent having paintball! Though we were dressed in long sleeved tops, slacks, shoes, breastshield (for gurls) and face mask under the hot sun, must say it was great fun getting to shoot at our "enemies". But we had to pay a price for this - bruises and wounds from the impact of the paintballs all over our bodies. No wonder it's called PAINball...

After a harsh afternoon, 5 of us gurls pampered ourselves with a spa pedicure, followed by photo session at Petronas Twin Towers the next day!
