ZzZ...

Back from 3D2N module - Leadership and Teambuilding @ CircleXperience Camp!
I was in group 12 (section 1, group 2).

DAY 1

Assembled in the morn at the Federal Carpark in Bt Timah campus, and set off on a chartered bus to CDANS campsite. It was a super bad day at CDANS cuz the rain was on and off. The food suX big time too... We came up with house rules, with the 1st being "Take it easy". My team is super slack la, but fun la... hehez...

It was kinda like the usual kiddy camps that I had once organised, planned, executed or facilitated. We had to play station games, one of which was having the whole grp to balance on a big see-saw for 10s and to climb over the low wall. Another was to balance on cables and get across the 6 cables, connected by poles. Most of the girls got many bruises on their calves and inner thighs in the former station, while we got muscle ache in the latter for having tensed up our muscles on the stupid cables.

As the day later was rainy, we played "Flip the poncho" for a super long time under the shelter. Urgh... To think that I actually planned such a stupid game for campers in the past. Guys in my grp were pretty big and there were 14 of us altogether, so were taking up a lot of space on the poncho. The guys had to carry all the girls on their shoulders and we took a super long time to flip the poncho. Poor guys, esp the guy who had to carry me, cuz i was the heaviest gal in the group. hehez... We ended as the third last group. haha...

For dinner, we had to cook our own food. But luckily, it was over the stove. It was the usual camp food - instant noodles and canned food.

At nite, we had to solve a murder mystery and sleep under the tents.

DAY 2

There was height elements. My facilitator asked me if I had rockclimbing cert, and asked me if I could belay my group members, and I readily agreed, cuz it's relli fun to be a belayer. Belayed almost every 1 in my group including a guy who was over 80kg. But my anchor wasn't very stable, so I was kinda floating. hehez..

Played water bomb games in the field. It wasn't relli as fun as HC Orientation, cuz there's supposed to be a target in every group being raised on the shoulders. There were many loopholes in the game which made it super un-fun and inactive. It was a lot of waiting and waiting.

Played amazing race where we had to walk all the way to Chinese Garden. It wasn't very much of a kick cuz i noe the West area pretty well. And it was a total of 5km only. At each station provided by the clues, we had to perform a certain task to chalk up points and to receive the following clue. As we did not have any cheers, I came up with a cheer ad-hoc. It's "ZZ ZZZ ZZZZ 12"! Funny rite? Cuz whenever our facilitator asks us to cheer, we'll say "ZZZ" cuz we were all super lazy. haha... But this cheer is pretty cute la... So unique... Hehez...

When we reached Chinese Garden, we kinda expected that we were gonna be the last group, but we were told that we were the tenth group. Considering how slack we were, we were super happy with our results and started cheering our ZZZ cheer! Hehez... Then we decided to extend our cheer with " Take it easy. *Yawn!" Quite funny...

Chinese Garden is heaven compared to CDANS, cuz we get to sleep under the huge tentage built for events, on the floor. We explored the area at nite and went up the pagoda to have a gd view of the jurong area, but on the third and last level of one of the twin pagodas, there was an indian couple whom we believe were there to make out. Haha...

Shower cubicles were like 10 min walk away from our sleeping area. After showering, it was ghost-storytelling time... Some of the guys shared NS ghost stories which were kinda real and quite scary esp at nite and the way they told us the ghost stories. At a point of time, Michelle leaned onto me, and thus gave me a shock, and led to me screaming, while the rest of the camp was sleeping soundly. Oops, so diu lian... =P

DAY 3

Had to build a raft using poles and tyres. The lake was super muddy so i lost both my old shoes in there. Haha... The raft was lousy cuz we din have enuf time to tie the tyres onto the poles, and only a few of us knew how to tie square lash. Later we had dragon-boating, and it was super tiring as each time, there could only be 5 people on the boat, 1 controlling the direction.

After that, I had to go bare-footed until Michelle helped me get my running shoes. Hehz.. We had a Survival Hunt which was kinda like a Treasure Hunt, except that we had to perform tasks at the stations. This was the peak of our team cuz every1 was super enthu!

The last activity was war game, using water guns. It was super sucky cuz there were too many rules and too many loopholes, making it a super un-fun game. nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves shooting our own pple and esp our facilitator!

My group's made up of pple from different backgrounds, from both JCs and Polys. Initially, I acheli expected my group to be filled with siu jeis and gu niangs and super slackers with bad attitude, but it ended up that every1 in my group were enthu and willing to help out wherever needed, unlike in sec sch n JC. It was a fun camp, not becuz of the activities but becuz of the pple in my group. They were humorous and outgoing and fun-loving and crappy... =)
But of cuz 29th is the still the best. During the camp, i couldn't help it but miss the times in 29th where the spirit was so so so super HIGH, where every1 is so sporty and onz and cooperative, where everything juz fit in so nicely, where we had such great morale and mo qi.
