chingay 2006!

my first time watching chingay live! basically we were there quite early, but still had to line up in a super long queue. sadly it was raining, but later the rain stopped and we sat on the PA banner on the roads. Chey, thot we were going to have proper seats, but i heard those pple had to pay $50. Wah, pay $50 to watch a street fest. The best place have to be the restaurant at orchard pt overseeing orchard rd, though it has a top-down view, but better than road seating, cuz the main performance was at the seating areas. They were constantly occupied by cheerleading, singing and other performances, while we had to stone while waiting for about 1 hour plus.

The rockers weren't too hyped-up either. Neither were they the rockers sort of pple, prob juz students doing CIP but labelled "volunteers". The Chinese High band was super pragmatic. The other troupes were quite hyped-up, quite high when they reached our side. They were so friendly and even posed in front of our cameras, engaged the crowd, performed some stunts in front of us, the second-class spectators. But the Chinese High band just stood in their sedia position, as if conserving energy for their final performance at the VIP seating area. Sigh.

Then we were so excited to yings, jingwen, constance and co. Saw grace, linqun and cheuk fung too.
