What is short-lived and what is not?
The light emitted from the fireworks. Former.
My memory of the light. Latter.
That sense of joy and awe. Former.
Learning. Latter.

Hols starting since late Apr. So I began on my first aid course, and climbed Rinjani. Then came May, June and July, when I worked, played, and did loads of planning for the camp. Those were times I learnt. About pple, about myself, and everything else. I was scared to be judged, and was cautious not to judge too. And so I was surprised by how independent I became, how composed I remained, and how patient and how accepting I could be. (Not that I haven't been independent, composed, patient and accepting before.) Sometimes, I was so independent I was almost building a fortress, almost alone; sometimes I was so helpless I had to be composed. So the fortress grew thicker and taller.

The strength came from within.

The battery needs to be recharged. Wants to be recharged. Forgot to be recharged for months, and the usual charger doesn’t work as well now. It’s by far the best charger for this battery. Could be the compatibility, or that some thing’s changed.

I also understood what it means by “love is patient, love is kind”. Though I may not be practising it as well as I want to, I learnt and I understood. It’s not easy – to ask what you can give, and not what you can get. It takes courage. And, yes, the strength comes from within.

It’s great seeing Nini after almost 10 mths! What’s not changed – your dress sense, hairstyle, volume, gait, accent, behaviour, enthusiasm, drive!

I miss. The times we played bball after sch. The times we rushed down to PC for trainings. The times we looked fwd to camps. The times we had fun organising them. The times we ponned elections, classes, functions. The times we gathered at the bench. The good food at coro, 6th ave and 7-mile. The feeling u get donning the uniform.
